The hydro-mechanical horologists of Mido Replica worked with the famous American singer to create a blue version. The blue Damascus Steel cranium is at the center of the watch, surrounded by hour markers that have been PVD coated in the same shade of blue. A rhodium plated dial features a hobnail pattern. The liquid that indicates the hours around capillary on the skull, as well the stitching of the leather cuff is blue.
Like other Mido Replica, this new customized model shows the hour via a tube filled with liquid. The fluid around the outline of the skull is used to indicate the hours. Meanwhile, the left eye socket gradually darkens and is a continuous seconds indicator. Fluid running through the tube can be used to approximate the minutes.
The new Mido Replica, designed by Guns N' Roses's lead singer,patek philippe replica watches is housed in a 51mm diameter black DLC-coated Titanium case with a microblasted finish. The case has a see-through metallized crystal with Rose's signature and the Guns N' Roses logo.
Vincent Perriard, co-founder of Mido Replica and announcing this collaboration, stated that Axl Rose was already familiar with the brand when they first met, and knew the destructive rock and roll attitude that Mido Replica has. "He wanted to create his own model. He had an idea of what he wanted before we met. We created it for him. This Skull Axl is his. It's exactly the way he wanted," says Mr. Perriard.
